Dan has been a cornerstone of the Camrose business community for decades. As the owner and operator of Duff Layton’s Men’s Wear since 1988, Dan has built a reputation for quality, service, and style. His career in the menswear industry began as a partner with Max McLean’s Mens Wear, where he contributed to the success of both its downtown Camrose and Duggan Mall locations.
Beyond his professional achievements, Dan has demonstrated a remarkable commitment to his community through extensive volunteerism and leadership. He has served as Past President of the Camrose Junior Chamber of Commerce, fostering leadership and civic engagement among young professionals, and as a member of the Camrose Kinsmen Club, contributing to local service projects. As Past President of the Camrose Rotary Club, he supported numerous initiatives aimed at improving the community and beyond. Dan also co-founded the Camrose Wildlife and Stewardship Society, promoting environmental conservation and awareness, and acted as Past Master of the Camrose Masonic Lodge, reflecting his dedication to mentorship and community service. Additionally, he served as President of the Bailey Theatre Society during the reconstruction of the iconic theatre, preserving a vital piece of local history and culture, and as Past President of the Camrose City Centre, advocating for the development and vibrancy of the downtown area. His entrepreneurial spirit is further showcased in his role as President of Sons and Company, an urn manufacturing business.
