Business Leader of the Year

This award recognizes an individual who has demonstrated exceptional leadership, business acumen, philanthropy, and a strong commitment to the Camrose & District business community.

Eligibility Criteria:
  • Minimum Years in Operation: The nominee’s business must have been in operation for at least five years.
  • Active Status: The business must be actively operating at the time of nomination and at the time of the award presentation.

Small Business of the Year

This award recognizes a business with fewer than 99 employees that has demonstrated exceptional growth, innovation, and community impact. It celebrates the vital role small businesses play in strengthening the local economy and fostering a vibrant, resilient community.

  • Active Status: The business must be actively operating at the time of nomination and at the time of the award presentation.

Large Business of the Year

This award recognizes a business with more than 100 employees that has demonstrated exceptional growth, innovation, and community impact. It celebrates the significant contributions large businesses make to the local economy and their role in building vibrant, sustainable communities.

  • Active Business Operation: The individual must be employed by a business that is actively operating at the time of nomination and at the time of the award presentation.

Franchise Business of the Year

This award is presented to a locally operated franchise that exemplifies the entrepreneurial spirit and success of our business community. The recipient operates under a parent company’s brand, business model, and strategy, while demonstrating significant achievement over the past three years. This franchise actively contributes to local community initiatives and participates in industry or professional associations. 
Eligibility Criteria:
  • Minimum Years in Operation: The business must have been operating for at least three years.
  • Active Status: The business must be actively operating at the time of nomination and at the time of the award presentation.

Indigenous Business of the Yea

This award celebrates the outstanding achievements, leadership, and entrepreneurial spirit of Indigenous business owners. It honours the dedication, innovation, and positive impact made by First Nations, Métis, and Inuit entrepreneurs who contribute meaningfully to their communities and industries. This award also acknowledges the unique challenges Indigenous business owners face and highlights their success stories as sources of inspiration and pride. 
Eligibility Criteria:
  • Indigenous Identity: The nominee must identify as Indigenous, including First Nations, Métis, or Inuit.
  • Ownership: The nominee must be the owner or co-owner with at least 51% ownership of the business.
  • Minimum Years in Operation: The business must have been operating for at least one year.
  • Active Status: The business must be actively operating at the time of nomination and at the time of the award presentation.

Home Based Business of the Year

This award recognizes a business that operates from a home-based location and has demonstrated exceptional customer service, dedication to its industry, and notable business achievements. It celebrates the resilience and innovation of entrepreneurs who successfully balance the unique challenges of running a business from home while reaching significant milestones and contributing to the local economy. 
Eligibility Criteria:
  • Minimum Years in Operation: The business must have been operating for at least three years.

Innovative brand/ Marketing Award

This award is presented to a business that has demonstrated excellence in developing a strong brand identity and executing creative, effective marketing strategies.   • Minimum Years in Operation: The business must have been operating for at least three years.

Female Leadership of the Year- Individual Award

This award celebrates the remarkable achievements and leadership of women in business. It honors individuals who have demonstrated outstanding leadership qualities, achieved significant business success, and made sustainable contributions to their industries and communities. The award aims to inspire and recognize the impact of female leaders while promoting gender equality and empowering the next generation of women in business. 
Eligibility Criteria:
  • Gender Identity: The nominee must identify as female.
  • Leadership Role: The nominee must be an owner or co-owner (minimum 51% ownership) of a business or hold a significant leadership position within a business.
  • Minimum Years in Operation: The business must have been operating for at least three years.
  • Active Status: The business must be actively operating at the time of nomination and at the time of the award presentation.

Legacy Business of the Year Award

This award is presented to an independently owned and operated business that has been serving the Camrose & District trading area for at least ten years. The recipient has demonstrated sustained growth, contributed significantly to local employment, and made ongoing investments in the community. This business embodies a deep commitment to community involvement as a core company value.
 Eligibility Criteria:
  • Minimum Years in Operation: The business must have been operating for at least ten years.
  • Active Status: The business must be actively operating at the time of nomination and at the time of the award presentation.

      Official Statement: Camrose & District Chamber of Commerce

      The Camrose & District Chamber of Commerce would like to acknowledge that our employee, Shauna Chrabaszcz, has announced her candidacy for Mayor in the upcoming municipal election.

      We want to assure our members and the public that clear boundaries have been established to ensure neutrality and fairness throughout the election process. Shauna will have no involvement in the planning or execution of the Chamber’s election forums. Additionally, Shauna will not be representing the Chamber in any advocacy or lobbying matters during this time.

      To further avoid any conflict of interest, all election-related questions submitted to the Chamber prior to September 23, 2025 will not be reviewed for inclusion.

      If you submitted a question before this date, we kindly ask that you re-submit using the links available on our website under the Election Forum event, or through the links provided below. This will ensure all questions are collected and reviewed appropriately,
      in line with our established process.
