About Us

The Association of Communities Against Abuse (ACAA) has been serving East Central Alberta for 35 years. Communities served are within the approximate boundaries of highway 9 in the south, highway 21 in the west, highway 14 in the north and the Saskatchewan border in the east. We aspire to support anyone impacted by sexual abuse, assault and other forms of sexualized violence, and to engage our communities in creating a culture of respect and consent. ACAA addresses sexual abuse and assault across this vast rural region by: – Providing specialized treatment services including crisis support, therapeutic counselling, and family support for survivors of sexual abuse, assault and other forms of trauma. – Empowering survivors as they navigate the Criminal Justice System by providing information, support, and advocacy from before they choose to report to the end of the process. – Educating and engaging the public, students, parents, and professionals on sexual violence through inclusive and accessible training sessions. – Building leadership and skill capacity – enhancing organizational and community capacity to respond to sexual abuse and assault.

Official Statement: Camrose & District Chamber of Commerce

The Camrose & District Chamber of Commerce would like to acknowledge that our employee, Shauna Chrabaszcz, has announced her candidacy for Mayor in the upcoming municipal election.

We want to assure our members and the public that clear boundaries have been established to ensure neutrality and fairness throughout the election process. Shauna will have no involvement in the planning or execution of the Chamber’s election forums. Additionally, Shauna will not be representing the Chamber in any advocacy or lobbying matters during this time.

To further avoid any conflict of interest, all election-related questions submitted to the Chamber prior to September 23, 2025 will not be reviewed for inclusion.

If you submitted a question before this date, we kindly ask that you re-submit using the links available on our website under the Election Forum event, or through the links provided below. This will ensure all questions are collected and reviewed appropriately,
in line with our established process.

Please also note that there may be some variations in hours for the Chamber office and Visitor Centre during this period. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding.

The Camrose & District Chamber of Commerce remains committed to being a neutral and non-partisan organization while hosting fair, transparent, and respectful election forums that give our community the opportunity to hear directly from all candidates.
