Camrose Chamber of Commerce Big Valley Jamboree Parade
The Camrose Chamber of Commerce hosts one of the largest parades in Central Alberta with over 100 entries. Marching bands, beautiful floats and heavy horses are just a few of the participants who make up this great parade; it is a signature event that helps kick off the internationally famous country music festival - the Big Valley Jamboree. This is an event you won't want to miss!
The internationally famous Big Valley Jamboree is one of Camrose’s biggest weekends of the year, and once again the Camrose Chamber of Commerce will help to kick it off with the Big Valley Parade. This year, the parade was held on July 29th, beginning at 10:30am. Last year there were over 100 entries in the parade making it one of the largest parades in Central Alberta; this year's event produced similar results. The Camrose Chamber of Commerce is incredibly excited about the fact that the annual parade was such a huge success. Each year we encourage spectators to arrive early to claim their spots, sit back, and enjoy the show which lasts about an hour and a half. Bring your family, kids, friends and co-workers to this grand event and take in the colourful floats, marching bands, unique antiques, and many other entertaining participants as they make their way down Main Street. This is a great event, and is not for locals alone; even if you are from out of town, make it a fun day for yourself, your family and friends. Start with the parade and then visit the Camrose Tourist Information Centre or contact them at 780-672-4217 to find out all the other fun and entertaining activities that are happening in Camrose.
