
6th Annual Be a Tourist in Your Own Town Week!
July 3rd to 9th, 2010
Come down to the Bill Fowler Centre, home of the Camrose Chamber of Commerce & Visitor Information Centre in the beautiful Mirror Lake Park and be part of our "Be a Tourist in Your Own Town" activities! All week long we will be holding events and giving away coupons to local attractions.

Be a Tourist in Your Own Town - Kick off Barbeque - July 3rd, 2010 11:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m
Join us at the Visitor Information Centre for a great barbecue, rides on the Camrose Mirror Lake Express Train, fun-filled family activities and much more!
Be a Tourist in Your Own Town - Plan Your Alberta Vacation - July 5th, 2010 10:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Come to the Visitor Information Centre and let our knowledgeable staff help plan your vacation. We will also be offering access to discounted travel Alberta packages throughout the week.
Be a Tourist in Your Own Town - Geo Green Day - July 7th 1:00 - 3:00 Join us at the Bill Fowler Centrer from 1:00 - 3:00 as we geo-cache and "green" our way around the lake trail. Please register in advance if you are interested. Also bring a food bank item throughout the week and receive a FREE reusable bag!
Be a Tourist in Your Own Town - Camrose Mirror Lake Express Train Rides - July 6th & 8th 2010 5:30 pm - dusk
Rides will be $2 each for a 10 minute ride - GREAT FOR KIDS AND FAMILIES!! (weather permitting)
Be a Tourist in Your Own Town - Creative Arts for Kids - July 9th, 2010 8:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Children can be dropped off at the Chuck McLean Arts Centre, where they will be involved in Camrose crafts and activities. The cost for the day is $18.00
Walking/Driving Tours Information - July 3-17th, 2010
Come to the Visitor Information Centre and pick up your self-guided walking and driving tours passport; you'll learn secrets about Camrose you never knew existed!
Photo Scavenger Hunt - Collect pictures from Camrose & surrounding area, based on a scavenger list, and have a chance to win great prizes! Scavenger Hunt lists will be available at the Chamber of Commerce in early July. Event will run July 3-31, 2010.
